Patrick H. Murray ’10

Patrick H. Murray is the Director of State Affairs for Johns Hopkins. Previously, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr. and as a policy advisor to House Speaker Michael E. Busch. From 2000 to 2004, he worked as a strategist on political campaigns around the country, playing a key role in gubernatorial elections in Kansas and Virginia, as well as congressional and state legislative races in Iowa, Kansas, New York, Pennsylvania and Utah. He is vice-chair of the board of the Patterson Park Public Charter School and a member of the Maryland State Board of Elections. In 2013, he was awarded the Marshall Memorial Fellowship and named to the Daily Record's VIP List. He earned his B.A. from Swarthmore College and his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, and he is admitted to practice in Maryland.
